One-man workshop. Uncompromising designs. Crafting at every scale.
From an early age, I was fascinated by the art of creation. I grew up devouring books, imagining myself as the hero wielding a weapon forged for a greater purpose. My childhood was filled with building shelters, crafting weapons, and shaping tools that became part of my stories.
My journey into craftsmanship started in my grandfather’s workshop, where I carved wooden swords and later shaped my first knives. Over time, designing and creating became more than a passion—it became a way of life. The act of making things with my own hands allows me to focus on the present, push aside distractions, and fully immerse myself in the process.
I am a husband and a father of five. Parenthood is both my greatest joy and my greatest challenge—an endless cycle of inspiration, exhaustion, and fulfillment. I find inspiration in well-written novels, mythology, and history. Above all, I value peace—the ability to slow down, to live intentionally, away from the noise of the modern world.
Today, Matsey is my own path. Every project begins as a sketch and passes through my hands—from the first prototype to the final piece. I work both independently in my workshop and in collaboration with select manufacturers to bring my designs to a wider audience—always in limited editions, always with attention to detail.
My principles:
Quality over quantity – full control over every stage.
Design matters – I don’t create things randomly.
Minimalism and functionality – pure form, nothing unnecessary.
